Phenylpropanoids from the Immature Fruits of Black Nightshade (Solanum nigrum L.)

نویسندگان

چکیده

Black nightshade (Solanum nigrum L.) has been traditionally used as indigenous Chinese medicine. Phytochemical investigations of the immature fruits S. have carried out and nine phenylpropanoids (1-9) were obtained. Their structures elucidated on basis spectroscopic chemical methods, including MS, 1H 13C-NMR. They identified (7S, 8R)-4-[3-hydroxymethyl-5-(3- hydroxypropyl)-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-2-yl]-2-methoxyphenol (1), 8R)- dihydrodehydroconifery alcohol (2), massonianoside A (3), butane-2,3-diol 2-O- (6-O-caffeoyl)-β-D-glucopyraniside (4), 4-[(6-O-(E)-caffeoyl)-β-D-glucopyranosyl] vanillic acid (5), (+)-isolariciresinol (6), trans-cinnamic (7), ferulic (8), 4-hydroxy cinnamic (9). This study enriched constituents black nightshade.

Effects of great bustard (Otis tarda) gut passage on black nightshade (Solanum nigrum) seed germination

Birds are important seed dispersers for fleshy fruits through their transportation of ingested seeds. The seeds of many species germinate faster and in greater proportions after passing through a digestive tract, although the effects of this passage vary amongst bird and plant species. Many factors determine the germination success of ingested seeds, such as seed scarification during the digest...

Ultrastructural effects of AAL-toxin TA from the fungus Alternaria alternata on black nightshade (Solanum nigrum L.) leaf discs and correlation with biochemical measures of toxicity.

Ultrastructural effects of AAL-toxin TA from Alternaria alternata on black nightshade (Solanum, nigrum L.) leaf discs and correlation with biochemical measures of toxicity. In black nightshade (Solanum nigrum L.) leaf discs floating in solutions of AAL-toxin TA (0.01-200 microM) under continuous light at 25 degrees C, electrolyte leakage, chlorophyll loss, autolysis, and photobleaching were obs...
